Learning by Doing
After that, I decided to fully step into the fashion world.
I trained at a denim-focused design studio while also attending Vantan Design Institute.
I went to school on weekends, and during the weekdays, I worked as a pattern maker’s assistant and helped with production.
At the studio, I learned about trends and materials while gaining hands-on experience in the field.
My days were incredibly busy, and I often didn’t get home until midnight.
But at the time, I had the energy to give everything my full attention—both work and school.
Looking back, I can hardly remember how I managed it all,
but I know that period shaped me.
It was a small studio, but I was able to learn so much from experienced pattern makers while studying at the same time.
It was intense, chaotic, and demanding—
but now I see it as one of the most important periods of my life.
