A Small Piece of the Outside World Entering the Home

A Small Piece of the Outside World Entering the Home

After getting married and moving to Denmark, the atmosphere inside our home slowly began to change.

Plants started to fill the rooms and the balcony, until it felt like a small flower shop had quietly taken shape within our living space.

He takes great care of them, and the flowers and greenery respond to that care, growing quietly yet vividly through the seasons.

From spring to autumn, the light moving through the plants feels like a small piece of the outside world gently entering the home.

The days grow longer, and the soft arrival of dusk begins to stretch across the evenings.
Around the summer solstice in June, Denmark enters a luminous season that lasts for months.

On our small balcony, pots of plants overlap and gather together, filled with countless flowers growing freely and vividly.
Time spent among moving leaves and flowers opening in the light feels, in its simplest form, like hygge itself.

Perhaps the room slippers and haori I create are also born from this quiet light.
