Bringing Haori into Your Relaxing Time at Home

Bringing Haori into Your Relaxing Time at Home

When people think of a haori, they often imagine it as something to wear outdoors.

But for me, a haori is just as meaningful at home.

Living in Denmark has taught me to appreciate small moments of comfort—quiet mornings, slow afternoons, and evenings spent on the balcony watching the light change.

A haori fits naturally into those moments.

Unlike a structured jacket, it doesn’t feel restrictive. It simply drapes over the body, adding a gentle layer of warmth and ease.

On cooler mornings, I like to wear one while enjoying coffee by the window.

In the evening, it becomes an easy layer to throw on while reading, working on new designs, or having dinner on the balcony.

Some people create relaxing spaces with blankets, candles, or soft lighting.

For me, a haori can be part of that same atmosphere.

It is not only clothing. It becomes part of a slower rhythm of living.

One of the things I love most about haori is their versatility.

They can be worn when going out—walking through the city, meeting friends, or visiting a gallery. But they can also stay with you during quiet moments at home.

Perhaps that is why they have remained relevant for so long.

They are designed not only for movement, but also for comfort.

In a world that often feels busy and fast, I find beauty in clothing that encourages us to slow down, even for a little while.

A haori is one of those pieces for me.

A haori is not only for going somewhere.
Sometimes, it is for staying exactly where you are.
