The Quiet After the Market

The Quiet After the Market

Flidmarked in Copenhagen was the first time the market was held in this city, and it left a very different impression on me compared to previous events.

Since starting NiiNu, I have participated in several design markets in Denmark — FindersKeepers in September 2025, Aarhus Design Market in December 2025, Godsbanen Christmas Market in December 2025, and now Flidmarked in April 2026.

Each of them has brought its own encounters and emotions, but this time felt especially memorable.

Throughout the event, I had conversations through Instagram, met people in person, and connected with visitors in a more direct way than before. One moment that stayed with me was seeing a customer who had purchased a piece on the first day return the next day wearing it at the market.

Small moments like these carry a kind of warmth that is difficult to describe.

When I first started my brand, almost no one knew me. Even a simple conversation or someone stopping by my space meant a great deal. Looking back, I still feel a quiet happiness when I remember those early interactions.

There is something special about design markets. It is not only about presenting work, but also about being surrounded by so many creators, each with their own world and energy. Just being inside that atmosphere is deeply inspiring.

After each market, I find myself feeling a little light, as if I am still carried by the energy of everything that happened.

Flidmarked was no exception — perhaps even more so.

If possible, I would love to take part in a market in Spain next.
There are many people there who already follow my work, and I feel a quiet connection to that place.

Whether it will happen or not, I find myself already imagining what it might feel like.
